The Problem We Solve
In Pakistan, homeowners looking to escape skyrocketing electricity bills face an information asymmetry. On one side are the power utilities (K-Electric, LESCO, IESCO, MEPCO, etc.) operating under intricate, progressive multi-tiered slab tariffs, monthly fuel price adjustments (FPA), quarterly tariff adjustments (QTA), and fixed capacity charges. On the other side are local solar installers and aggressive sales contractors whose primary incentive is to upsell oversized inverters, push slow-moving inventory, or cut corners on critical electrical safety components.
SOLARAUDIT.ONLINE was built by an independent IT professional based in Karachi as a public utility to bridge this gap. We do not sell panels, we do not sell inverters, and we accept zero commissions from installers. 1 Realistic Climate Derating (0.78 Factor)
Standard laboratory testing assumes modules operate at 25°C. In Pakistani summers, module temperatures exceed 60°C, causing a 0.35% power drop per °C above 25°C. Factoring in airborne dust accumulation, inverter clipping, and AC cable losses, our model applies a 0.78 real-world derating factor across 5.2 peak sun hours (PSH).
2 2026 Progressive Slab Logic
Our pricing engine precisely mirrors NEPRA and DISCO tariff schedules. We calculate the critical 200-unit threshold separating "Protected" from "Unprotected" consumers. Our unique "Daytime Slab-Breaker" mode calculates how a modest 3.5 kW battery-less setup can shave daytime consumption to drop high-tariff meters back into lower base slabs.
3 Inductive AC Load Battery Storage
Traditional lead-acid tubular batteries suffer rapid sulfation under the continuous inductive load of 1.5-ton inverter air conditioners due to a usable depth of discharge (DoD) of only 50%. We specify 48V Lithium Iron Phosphate (LiFePO4) storage banks capable of 85% usable DoD over 4,000+ cycles.
4 Contractor Quotation Validator
Our Quotation Validator ("BS-Detector") compares contractor proposals against active wholesale hardware benchmarks in Karachi and Lahore. It immediately flags suspiciously low pricing (< Rs. 115/W hybrid, indicating refurbished panels or aluminum wiring) and excessive contractor markups (> Rs. 150/W hybrid).
